Team Leaders (Supervisors / First Line Managers)

The role of team leaders and supervisors has changed significantly over the last ten years. For this reason, our Team Leader / Supervisory Programmes focus on those competencies required to perform effectively in this role. 

As our approach is customised, the detailed curriculum will differ in each programme. However, the following broad themes are often included:

  • Self-awareness and Self-management,
  • Communication Skills,
  • Critical Conversations,
  • People Management,
  • Leaders, Teams and Change,
  • Thinking Skills,
  • People Development,
  • Performance Management,
  • Basic Financial Skills, and
  • Working SMART.

Modules may be offered as stand-alone electives or be combined to form a comprehensive leadership journey. The programme architecture would be designed according to client needs. Programmes are customised and accredited. (At TL / Supervisory level, these programmes are mostly offered at an NQF level 3, 4 or 5).
